Dennis England



Dennis England is the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Zenetex LLC, where he is responsible to the CEO for day to day operations of the company. Along with several other colleagues who had worked together previously in their careers, he joined a management team that took majority control of Zenetex in late 2008, and began a quest to build a growth oriented company with a work culture focused on customers and employees. Zenetex LLC is a rapidly growing professional services firm, providing support to numerous Federal sector agencies in the fields of Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering, Foreign Military Sales, Information Technology Service Management & Operations, Intelligence, Logistics, Program Management, Security, and Simulation & Training.

Prior to joining Zenetex, Dennis first served as an officer in the United States Navy. He achieved designation as a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) and served as a Mission Commander and Tactical Coordinator in the P-3C Orion aircraft, deploying to Keflavik, Iceland and Sigonella, Sicily. He later served as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC.

In 1983, he worked for Veda Incorporated, beginning as a project engineer for the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS), then serving as the General Manager of Veda’s Patuxent River Division, and later gaining promotion to Vice President and Regional Director.

Dennis joined Information Spectrum Inc. (ISI) in 1995, first managing the transition of Naval Air Systems Command support services to Southern Maryland, and then serving as Executive Vice President and COO of the company until its acquisition by the Anteon Corporation in 2003.

At Anteon, Dennis was a Senior Group Vice President of the Information Spectrum Division. In 2005, he was named as one of the Corporation’s five Pacesetter award winners for his division’s performance in achieving its annual goals. Anteon was acquired by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) in 2006.

At GDIT, Dennis was the Vice President & General Manager of the Aviation Joint Solutions Sector where he was responsible for a 1200 person workforce and annual revenues nearing $200M.

Dennis has been very involved in his community, serving on the Board of Directors of the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce, as President of the Business Education and Community Alliance, and President of the Lexington Park MD Rotary Club. In 2000, he was named the Outstanding Rotary Club President in the Washington, Baltimore area. He has been a member of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Parent’s Council and served on the college’s Heritage Campaign Cabinet.

Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

He lives in Leonardtown, Maryland with his wife Susan. They have two grown sons, Jim and Jared, daughter-in-law Christy, and two grandchildren, Elijah and Lillie
