Steve Austin

Stephen (Steve) Austin has 40 years private and public sector project and program management experience supporting Defense, Homeland Security, and Intelligence activities. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Steve joined Delex Systems in December 2012 as a Senior Maritime Security Advisor providing Federal government agency program support on security matters occurring at the crossroads of the commercial maritime shipping industry. In December 2014 Steve was appointed as General Manager of Delex’s Security Business Practice responsible for business operations and growth of the company’s largest business unit.

As Security Group Vice President Steve is responsible for the day-to-day business operations for multiple Federal services contracts supporting Security, Acquisition, Information Technology, Program Management, and Operational Test and Evaluation programs.

Steve’s first career was with the United States Coast Guard which included almost 13 years of sea duty and command of two vessels (cutters). Because of his Coast Guard experience he supports Delex's intelligence programs, particularly those pertaining to commercial transportation security.

Steve is a graduate of Boston State College with a BS in Public Administration and of the National Search and Rescue School and the Coast Guard Maritime Law Enforcement School.
